about
Hello & welcome to my Trick Mantra shop!
This is the commerce outlet for the textiles & fibers part of my arts practice. I am an artist with many interests and modalities of creating: knitting & sewing are just two of them. I have developed something that could be described as a “product”–as I am an object designer as well. Here you can purchase these items. Think of them all as one-off and ephemerally available, even the Made to Order section. I’m not sure how long I’ll offer any one product, it just depends on how I’m feeling. Trick Mantra is an Arts Practice, not a Brand Strategy.
I make each and every item I sell by hand from start to finish. I know that in our extremely industrialized world this can be hard to really fathom, but fundamentally how I can describe it is–literally every step of every part of each process of making every single item is done by me, by hand.

SO. The pieces with blips and bloops show the hand. Specifically they show my hands. Think of me as a kind of cosmic craft grandmother (obviously jumping space-time because I am YOUNG yet) who is making handmade, heirloom knit items for you to love and cherish.
I love this work deeply, and you will feel that when you wear something I’ve made.
Thank you for stopping by! You’re welcome to contact me with any questions or just to say what’s up.
